The Jones Family Kitchen - London
The New Jones Family Kitchen, Belgravia
In May 2018, a brand new bar/restaurant called The Jones Family Kitchen, Belgravia, London was launched.
Multi award-winning interior designer Matt Rawlinson of Raw Design approached me. He was interested in our Kews Leafy Florals wallpaper and fabric design. Luckily, during sourcing, we had recently started working with a new fabric company, so when he asked if we supplied furnishing fabrics, I gladly said yes.
About The Jones Family Kitchen
The Jones Family Kitchen is part of the Jones Family Project. Originally born in Shoreditch, the Jones Family Project had spread their wings with their recent venture in Belgravia. The new sister venue, the Jones Family Kitchen, opened at Eccelston Yards, in May. Anticipating the British spring, the Jones Family Kitchen spills out into the courtyard onto a roomy terrace, becoming an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the streets nearby and the perfect place to explore their fabulous steaks and list of classic and experimental cocktails.
About the Project
I worked closely with Matt Rawlinson (Raw Design) and Paul Hodges of Hillswood Furniture Group who upholstered the chairs and banquet seating with our fabrics. Our fabric company Sleek Editions did a great job printing the fabric and reaching such a tight deadline. It was also lovely to meet Duncan Watts, one of the founders of The Jones Family Kitchen.
I must say that when I went on site ahead of opening, I was so impressed with the quality of everything. What I love about this project is the concept. A modern stylish industrial bar and restaurant, featuring unique touches such as the beautiful eye-catching hexagon shaped floor tiles, with continuous squiggle-style design, running from the floor and continuing up the bar wall. The red metal divider with it’s intricate circular patterns. Our Kews Leafy Florals design furnishes the walls in parts of the dining area. The design continues on fabric, beautifully upholstered onto banquet seating, chairs and bar stools.
Quirky wall accessories, and carefully selected framed illustration drawings add an almost otherworldly interest to the walls invoking other times and places. I love the fact that the restaurant is nicely tucked away in the hidden courtyard of Ecclestone Yards.
I will definitely go back and try out some of their food and cocktails, I hear it’s tasty….Hmmm!
