ATADesigns was commissioned by Paul Hodges of Hillswood Furniture Group — a familiar collaborator from a previous bar and restaurant project in London — to provide fabric for this redevelopment project at the Old Barn Coffee Shop and Restaurant.

The Development

The Old Barn and Coffee Shop was undergoing redevelopment, with Paul Hodges overseeing the planning, redesign and new bespoke seating. ATADesigns was commissioned to supply fabric for the fixed seating and chair backs.

The brief was to provide a fabric design inspired by nature, to complement the Old Barn's traditional features. The Kews Leafy Florals design (inspired by Kew Gardens) was chosen, with the colourway and pattern adjusted to meet the client's requirements. Once the final design and samples were approved, the fabric was printed on FR-treated Lux Velvet contract fabric.

The finished result is stunning — the design comes alive beautifully in the space, and Paul Hodges did an exceptional job with the upholstery throughout.
