The Half Moon’s Cool Transformation

The Half Moon‘s renovation project was huge.  I was blown-away when I first saw the transformation of this Grade II-listed public house.  Steeped in history, and once a popular live music venue for over 40 years.  Stunningly restored to its former glory, The Half Moon combines classic charm with elegant modern sophistication.  Fuller, Smith & Turner PLC, the London brewer and premium pub company are now the proud owners of The Half Moon, Herne Hill, London.

ATADesigns Meets Concorde BGW's Senior Designer

Rose Murray (Senior Designer) working with Concorde BGW expressed an interest in our wallpapers, Regents Floral Expression (deep forest) and Regents Foliage (evergreen).  Seeing the wallpapers installed in their unique interior spaces, makes me very proud be part of this special project.

Regents Fresh Floral (deep forest) wallpaper (above) is installed in the bar area opposite reception.

Regents Foliage (evergreen) (below) is installed in the ceiling of the ladies restroom, and also in the wardrobe of one of the bedrooms.  It’s exciting to see our wallpapers used creatively.

Boutique Bedrooms, Dining and Amazing Outdoor Space & Chill-out Area

Concorde BGW, one of the UK’s leading design and build specialists for the hospitality industry, carried out the renovation of The Half Moon.  Fuller’s has worked closely with Concorde BGW on a number of refurbishments including the award-winning Tap on the Line in Kew Gardens, which scooped a Restaurant & Bar Design award in 2015.

The team at Concorde BGW did a fantastic job; they certainly do what they do best.

I was very impressed with every room.  All I could say was WOW and I’m still saying WOW now!

  • The bar area is brought up-to-date; combining the existing traditional features with new interior accessories ideas and colours incorporated into the space.
  • The beautiful boutique bedrooms, each one of them has their own unique individual style and quirkiness. There are 12 en-suite bedrooms in total, and each one is named after one of the 12 men who have walked on the Moon.
  • The stylish dining area is amazing, it’s spacious, modern and very welcoming.
  • The urban outdoor space is a great place to chill out with your friends or family on a warm summers evening.  There’s even a warehouse style function space with it's own bar outside.

If you haven’t already visited The Half Moon, then you have to make a special visit, I recommend it.  I reckon the locals are very happy with its opening, especially after many years of closure, what’s not to like in one of South London’s coolest new hangouts.
