Aberley House – A Luxury Historic Residence – A Great Place to Stay
Aberley House is part of the famous Beach Lawn terrace which overlooks Liverpool Bay at Waterloo, Liverpool. Number 13 was owned by Sir Thomas Ismay, the founder of the White Star Line. Further along the terrace is the house of Captain Edward Smith, the captain of the Titanic. The terrace was built in 1866 and has strong historical links with the Port of Liverpool. On the beach in front of the house stands Another Place — known locally as the "Iron Men" — one of the most iconic art installations in the world by Anthony Gormley.
